OUR MISSION
The Cornell Hotel Society, Collegiate Chapter (CHS, CC) seeks to build, to strengthen, and to promote the connection between students and alumni by creating networking opportunities for students and encouraging their involvement in Hotel School clubs and organizations.
OUR STRUCTURE
The CHS, CC is the student assembly of the Hotel School and the umbrella organization over the School's sixteen clubs and organizations. The Collegiate Chapter is the oldest chapter of CHS, the world's largest and strongest alumni network.
OUR ACTIVITIES AND INITIATIVES
The CHS, CC works with the School's administration and alumni to develop activities that encourage students' involvement in Hotel School organizations and industry events. CHS hosts and organizes the following special events among others throughout the year:
• New Student Orientation and Dean's Reception for new students
• Annual Welcome Picnic
• Annual CHS/HEC Homecoming Tailgate
• Annual trips to the New York Hotel Show and the National Restaurant Association (NRA) Show
• CHS Hotel Show tours and networking receptions
• Various social events
• Various community service events
By promoting the Hotel School's clubs and organizations, CHS provides students opportunities to learn more about the fields of the hospitality industry that they are interested in. CHS works with clubs to help students discover their career paths; develop their leadership skills; and form a wide network of contacts who can help students after they graduate.
CHS also oversees the budgeting for all Hotel School clubs and provides them the financial and organizational support that they need to accomplish their goals.
