Holiday Event in Vienna 2011

Thanks to PKF hotelexperts, CHS AlpAdria and Eastern Europe members were invited to a preview tour of the "Sans Souci Hotel and Residences" in Vienna. The tour of the construction site was impressive, especially the view from the rooftop, and showed what a special "boutique hotel" the property will become (opening in 2012). The evening started out at one of Vienna's "Christmas Markets" in the rain with a glass of "hot mulled wine" - to warm up, of course! After a stroll through the old town all lighted up for the holidays, the group went to dinner in the traditional Austrian restaurant "Zum Finsteren Stern". By the end of the evening, the holiday season had really begun, and members went home with "visions of sugar plums - and new boutique hotels! - dancing in their heads"!

CHS - Cornell Club of Switzerland Thanksgiving Event 2011

Thanks to Cornell Club of Switzerland President, Christophe Zimmerli, and to Arenda Weishaupt, Hon. Board Member of the CHS AlpAdria & Eastern Europe Chatper, we joined the Cornell Club members in their 25th Anniversary Celebration at Thanksgiving this year near Zurich! The chef and owner of the famous "Landhotel Hirschen" in Erlinsbach prepared a turkey feast with all the trimmings! Stories were told, Cornell songs were sung and alumni reconnected - some after 30+ years!
