Past Event - W Hotel London (18 May 2011)
CHS London went out for an evening event at the new W Hotel London, one of London's newest hotel hotspots in Leicester Square. After arrival champagne & canapés in the Lounge bar we got to enjoy the in-house cinema for a short feature film and a property tour, all organized by the very welcoming W team.
Past Event - Breakfast on Wednesday (25 Aug 2010)
Breakfast roundtable discussion featuring Murad Hajeeboy, the Vice President of Lodging at Expedia. Murad has been with Expedia for seven years and is responsible for the business and relations with hotel partners across the emerging markets in Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Past Event - Bowling Night at All Star Lanes (17 Jun 10)
CHS went out for a night of bowling, drinks and dinner at All Star Lanes. The bowling alley is tucked away off Russell Square and was the ideal venue for a casual networking event. CHS members bowled a couple of games and then helped themselves to traditional American food and drinks in the 50's-style restaurant and bar.
Past Event - An Evening with Dean Johnson (4 May 10)
CHS London welcomed special guest Dean Michael Johnson to London with a reception at the recently opened Arch hotel. The Dean provided approximately 20 alumni, including some alumni of the Johnson School and Law School, with a brief update on Hotel School events and initiatives. Drinks were served in The Library followed by a show around of the luxurious and beautifully-appointed boutique hotel.
Past Event - Joint Event with EHL at the Royal Air Force Club (7 Apr 10)
CHS London and École hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL) hosted a joint event at the exclusive Royal Air Force Club near Hyde Park. The event was extremely popular with close to 50 people in attendance. The evening included drinks and canapes followed up a tour and brief history by the general manager.
Past Event - Breakfast with Ryan Prince (23 Mar 10)
CHS London welcomed Ryan Prince of Realstar Group to a breakfast event at Automat in Mayfair to discuss the current state of the hotel investment market. The breakfast was well attended by eight people, making for an intimite and thought-provoking discussion on issues facing hotel owners, lenders and advisers.
Past Event - The Kensington Hotel (23 Feb 10)
CHS London met for drinks and a complimentary canape reception in the stylish Drawing Room. Afterwords, a show around was provided.
Recently reopened after a £20m renovation programme, The Kensington Hotel welcomes guests to the jewel of London's Regency quarter. A member of The Doyle Collection, The Kensington Hotel has 150 stylish bedrooms and suites, a vibrant cocktail bar, modern restaurant and full-service gym.
CHS London 2009 - A Year in Review
Holiday Party at InterContinental Park Lane (8 Dec 09)
Holiday Party at the InterContinental Park Lane / Royal Suite. Drinks and canapés were served and a raffle was held with the opportunity to win a weekend at the InterContinental Le Grand in Paris. Festive fun was had for all!
Recruitment Breakfast, Richoux (11 Oct 09)
Led by Christina Reti, Director at Sousou Partners. Sousou Partners is a leading Executive Search firm dedicated exclusively to real estate and infrastructure.
Baglioni Event (16 Sept 09)
Over 50 attendees from CHS and Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne. We featured two speakers who presented on the London luxury hotel market: Robert Barnard, Partner, PKF Hotel Consulting and Mathias Saleborn, Regional Director of Sales, Leading Hotels of the World.
Boundary Hotel (30 July 09)
Met on the rooftop for evening cocktails overlooking the city of London. The Boundary, designed by Terence Conran, is a converted Victorian warehouse and a true boutique hotel; the property features 17 unique guest rooms, two restaurants, and an incredible rooftop bar.
Langham Hotel Reception and Tour (20 May 09)
Reception and Tour: Re-opened April following a two year, £80 million renovation.
Breakfast with Charles Human (19 Mar 09)
Breakfast event with lead speaker of which was Charles Human (Managing Director at HVS Hodges Ward Elliot) – discussion topics included hotel valuation techniques, current hotel trading environment and outlook on the hotel transactional market.
Hotel Indigo (24 Feb 09)
Drinks and a show around at the new Hotel Indigo near Paddington – the first of this new boutique brand of InterContinental Hotel Group to open in London, it was a great opportunity to meet up and check out this new hotspot in London.
