Hotelier of the Year 2010

Preparations are underway for this year's Hotelier of the Year Award.
This year the award will be announced on March 18 at Serviceforum, the Norwegian School of Hotel Management's student-run hospitality conference (www.serviceforum.no).

General Body Meeting 2009
On Monday, 26th of October, 12 former hotelies met at Thon Hotel Bristol for the 2009 General Body Meeting. Agenda for the day was the election of a new board, working out guidelines for the Hotelier of the Year award, and the election of the search committee for the Hotelier of the Year award in 2010.
After the meeting, Jan demonstrated the Enomatic Wine Dispenser system and showed how aragon gas can be used to preserve an open bottle of wine in near-perfect condition for several weeks. Having thus combined the demonstration with the aperitif, we proceeded to Bristol Grill where we were served a wonderful dinner of arctic char, duck, and dessert tasting plate. All served with fabulous Burgundy wines by an attentive and knowledgeable staff.
We would like to thank all the members who made this a wonderful evening and we would also like to thank Kristine Tonning at Thon Hotel Bristol for hosting the event. We hope to see you all again soon!

Nina Askvik er tildelt prisen ”Årets Hotelier” for sin innsats som Hotelldirektør på Radisson Blu Hotel Norge i Bergen. Den høytidelige utdelingen fant sted under Serviceforum på Hotellhøgskolen i Stavanger der en samlet bransje var representert.
